Re: New Portraits/Small Pics!

Yep, plenty of hail. They aren't usually the baseball sized ones you hear about on the news sometimes. They are generally about the size of a 5 or 10 cent piece.

It does make the backyard look...

Re: New Portraits/Small Pics!

Snow is pretty rare here in Australia. You have to travel to some remote inland areas to reach it. I've been waiting 30 odd years and still haven't seen it in the flesh. :)

Re: Anyone ever figure out that pesky MFC thing?

Yeah I pop in now and again to see what's happening in the DC world.

I'd like to make a come back someday, unfortunately that day isn't today. That said, I'm looking forward to the next release...

Re: Rejects, Works-in-Progress

When I was first playing around with DC code, windowed gaming was one of the things I looked into. I got it to work, however the window was stuck in the top left of the screen and you couldn't move...

Re: Rejects, Works-in-Progress

It's great to see the 3D view actually portraying 3d objects, even though it's not technically 3D.

Re: I'm no coder but....

G'day Paul,

I've sent the playfile log, a savegame and the edited level to your email address.

One thing I did notice however was that "Dorf" does not appear to have a combat icon attached to...

Re: I'm no coder but....

Paul, this is very easy to set up. I downloaded the file you posted and edited the level by taking away 2 walls, so that there isn't a surrounding wall. Basically I give the skeleton a route to flee...

Re: I'm no coder but....

It depended on which goldbox game you played. A starting group of heroes in Champions of Krynn with a low level cleric using "Turning" made some undead run away. Then with a cleric at some higher...

G'day all,

A new FRUA forum has been set up to promote FRUA and it's modules. There is even a section devoted to DC which is empty at the moment. :)

Re: "Easy" way to remove MFC-dependence AND port to Linux?!

Unfortunately this can't be done separately. Everything, objects, drawing code, etc uses MFC and CDX as a base so you can't just update one part of the code to run on some other library as it has to...

There was an underwater stage for part of the game. It had you fighting Sea dragons and such. And yea, it was one of the harder goldbox games out there sue to some crazy maze levels with teleporters.
