Default New Wall for 640x480 Resolution

I haven't posted any graphics in the forum for a while (not since getting my site up an running), so I thought that I'd post a wall that many people have been asking for - a tree.

It's an oak tree, and I will probably do another one, and then some bushes/shrubs that can be used as an overlay with them.

Enjoy!

Hey, looks nice (and deciduous) I guess you opted to use one of the "fatter" walltypes to get it to fit... Oak is a good choice (great for dryads)

I had to use the hyper wall format, but I tend to put walls in that format anyways for personal use and future designs.

I actually started work on a new wall format today. I made a template and have just started to work out the offsets. It will be called "ultimate", providing maximum use of the viewport for each wall

I started out the day to make some palm tree wallsets. There aren't too many oaks growing in Mulhorand. But, I got sidetracked and have been sidetracked all day.

Maximum - as in the whole box for every side? (Sounds good to me, although the images will be large, I guess.)

(I guess you could put an oak oasis in Mulhorand... with some desperate dryads who want to get out of there... )

Yup, maximum size for each. The wallset size is actually just a bit smaller than extended and hyper walls in width and a lot (maybe a third) smaller in height. I'm managing my space differently than Dinonykos did. I'm also not using some of the views that the tall wall (and subsequently extended and hyper walls) use. I've removed the partial front views at each level to do what the default wall does and just use the main front view for all front views. In all the time I've been working with DC, I've not once needed or wanted to use a partial front view to do anything but hold the equivalent information from the full front view.

I still wanna get some more know-how on making custom viewport/ custom walls. I found the frame I made for the bigpic sized walls, but does no good if I cannot get the walls in the frame to work.

It's all about the math and the offsets, with a fair amount of trial and error.

For some reason, when I try using it in the editor, it looks all...whacked out in the world.

You need to update your config.txt file. Hyper walls have been released since the last release of DC. I completely forgot about this, so I'm sorry.

Attached is the latest version of config.txt that will make everything work just fine.
