Fingers are very useful things, they are. You can cross them, shake them, use them to poke people, and even flick people on the forehead with them! Depending on the finger used, they can be used to gesture various nonverbal communications as well:

Thumb: "You did it!" "Great!" "Yeah!"
Pointer: "Uh-uh" "Tsk, tsk"
Middle Finger: "Coise you!"
Pinky (in Japan): "My (usually improper) girlfriend/lover"
Fingers splayed in the middle: "I am a Trekkie"

Unfortunately, the ring finger doesn't seem to have much meaning by itself...

In Australia, pretty much every DVD player is multi region. That tends to be their biggest selling point. Generally it is the cheaper brands from China that play everything, and you can buy them cheap from Kmart or your basic department store.

Ah - a true nation of freedom! Sounds like a great place! (Good food, too?)

Tis a great place and there's always good food around.

In fact, I might go out and get a kebab.

I've been to the UK many times, and of course lived in the USA, but I've not been to Australia yet. At the UK, I have learned about interesting culinary delights like peas porridge, fish and chips, scampi, pasties, mushy peas, and so forth... I wonder what Australia has to offer

Ah ha! Glad to know that I helped (Also, kudos for the company that included those codes in the machine! Blech to stuffy old Japanese companies who follow rules for no reason.)

Guess it is time to go to Australia and buy the Dexter DVDs

I've always wanted to visit Australia. Maybe the wife and I can take a little (ha ha) trip to pick up some DVDs of Dexter's Lab for ourselves.

I know that whenever I get a chance to go to Australia, I will check out the DVD stores for a set of my own!

I just found the ad for the Dexter's DVD collection and it clearly says that they are made "region free". Well, at least I know if I need to, I can watch other regions...

It seems to be 221 episodes on 6 DVDs for US$49.99, not including S&H...
