Default Years go by

If you rest for 365 days (or play for, since I haven't rested or playtested this), does your character age by 1 year?

Does anyone know this? Playtesters/Developers?

Reason I'm asking is I think it should NOT age the character by a year, as there are ways to count the days and make a "year" out by the designer (adding a year to the age of a character should be designer set, or at least there should be an automated way to design aging).

There are multiple ways to count days and thus count years. I can show anyone the tricks I know for this, and it will be in the guide as well.

Hmm. Don't know. Never tried it. I haven't done much with passing time. Steve McDonald is the one to ask on this.

Yes, DC does age every character by one year if 365 days pass. It seems everyone has the same birthday.

The same B-day isn't the problem, I think the designer should be able to set the year length.

Yeah, there are a few tricks for keeping track of days that go by for doing a time-sensitive quest (like "oh no! We need to get to the capital to prevent the murder of the king in one week!!!"). I was trying to work on a calendar idea, and when playing around with this I had to ask the question of the year and length.

PS, and I'll get the request at sourceforge
