Deirex Wont Die

Can anyone offer any suggestions for killing Deirex. He's the guy in the tower in the Drow City of Underdark. I've tried just about everything here, and I'm lucky if I get even a single hit before he casts his protection spells.

Any help would be appreciated!

Deirex is the lich in Underdark city, right? In any case, spells that will damage undeads like sunray and false dawn should help. You might want to have some magic removal spells like breach or spellstrike (if you have the scroll). Try to have someone with true seeing casted just in case the lich cast mislead or simulacrum.

No problem ... also, power word silence also works to some extent, I think the lich can still pull off the spell trigger, but if you hit him with power word silence for the next few rounds (4 I think) he will just "hang" around.
