I got the game a few days ago and just had the time to look into it yesterday. I played a monk in Everquest for a very long time and want to be a monk in BG2 too
The question I have is, how should I distribute the proficiency points for my monk. BTW won't my fists be the best weapons nearly most of the time? Thanks for your time! |

Yes, they will. But I'd recommend putting your proficiencies into scimitars (which also count for wakizashis and ninja-tos) and single-weapon style. There's a very nice weapon called the scarlet ninja-to which is only usable by monks; I believe it's in one of the expansion packs, which you can download from here. You can use it to take out those creatures that require enchanted weapons to hit (at least until your monk's fists become enchanted weapons themselves). Good luck.
