I just went up a level with my fighter and I got a new weapon proficiency. I added it to 2 handed sword which already had 1 * in it. however now when I look on the screen with the profile of my charcter I only see one + next to two handed swords. What's the deal ? Does one + actually mean two * or do I have a bug ?

You could add the extra profficiency slot by using shadowkeeper......

Did you put add the proficiency for "two handed swords" or "two handed weapon"? One is the weapon proficiency while the other is the weapon style.

Im pretty sure you can though they may bring down your xp if its to high. Wont be able to import it in to other games besides throne of bhaal unless you count neverwinter nights which will take you down to level 1 and take away your items and if your stats are determined to be to good to be obtained from their point buy system they will strip those down too. Hell your not even guaranteed to keep your class or portait but HEY! you can keep your characters name WOOHOO!
