Warning: Minor Spoilers
. . . . . . . Hey guys, I'm in Tatooine and I've currently got Bastila and Mission in my party (they're the two NPCs I use the most, along with Canderous as they have decent dialogue). I've got the following sidequests active - Bastila's mother's quest, and Mission's brother's quest. Now I'm at the droid shop about to go and look for the Sand People and I've bought another NPC, HK-47. It looks like I'll need HK-47 if I want to talk to the Sand People, since he speaks their dialect, but I don't want to miss out on the other two quests which I assume I need Bastila and Mission for? I'm also trying to follow the Bastila romance angle and apparently this mother's quest is important for that? Who do you guys suggest I drop? I was thinking of dropping Bastila for the Sand People expedition, taking HK along, then picking her up again, since I figure Mission will be essential to the Sand People quest being resolved peacefully, which I want, and since I melee and Bastila melees too... I had HK-47 and Bastilla for most of the game after I got him, dont bother with Missions brother, although I never did the quest, apparently it wasnt very good.

So you think I should drop Mission? How important is it for Bastila to be with me regularly?

No, keep Mission, you're about to meet her brother. As soon as you've seen him, drop mission for bastilla.

I would keep Mission as well. For some reason though I have NEVER been able to complete the sand people quest peacefully. I Enter with the Robes on and everything is fine.
Then before I get to talk they open fire on me. I would say keep mission and Hk-47 for this quest. Once its finished go back to the ship and pick up Bastila and finish the rest of her quest.

(Minor Spoilers)
. . . . . . . . . Bring Canderous out to the Dune Sea, he has a side quest there with some other Mandalorians!

Nice one, Chris, I think I missed that one.
[OBLIGATORY SPOILER TAG] 1 1 1 1 You can do the sand people and free Mission's Brother without MIssion, then pick up mission and meet her brother later in town. That's how I did it, anyway. Keep Bastilla with you as much as possible... If you care to do the romance, that is. You can find Bastilla's mom in a bar in town. I think you will get a message to meet her there. You want HK along to translate the Sand People tongue. I successfully resolved things, then had to fight when I rescued Missions brother. It's more fun if you just let HK loose -- cause he keeps asking and itching for a fight. [ 10-04-2004, 10:27 AM: Message edited by: Timber Loftis ] |

OK, I ditched Bastila and picked up HK long enough to complete the Sand People quest, then picked up Bastila again. The romance is going well. Found the 3rd star map on Kaashyyk, and found Jolee as well. Problem is, I'm getting really attached to HK - he's hilarious. It's a shame that you can't have more than two NPCs - I like Mission and Canderous as well.
