Items that hold the most enchantment

I'm trying to make an item that has a 100% constant effect chameleon spell, which requires an item with at least 500 points. I haven't been able to find anything so I looked in the construction set and found out that an Ebony Scimitar (Tribunal weapon) has 800 enchantment points. After making a special effot to get one, it would only hold 80 points!


Is this a bug or am I being stupid?

Anyone know of a regular item that will hold 500 points of enchantment?

i don't rememmber there being a deadric tower sheild...oh well
basically, the editor says a value 10x the amount you'll get, so if it says 800 you egt an enchant value of 80, 750=75.. very annoying that way... the highest enchant you'll find not in a mod is 150, which i think some very expensive rings and ebony tower sheilds have.

I believe the daedric tower shield has the highest enchantment value in the game(IIRC 225).
I think you can enchant it with chameleon constant effect 0-89% ( I could do that with fortifying strength ), so with that and f.ex. an enchanted exquisite ring you can get over 100%.

Thanks for the replies. I figured out the construction set was showing more enchantment points that what an item actually had. The daedric tower shield and the exquisite saphire ring and amulet have the most points. I hadn't thought of using multiple items to get the affect I want. Thanks for the advice.

TES shows more points, but the ratios between items are correct.

one question....where do you get the deadric tower shield? i didn't know there was one now i want it. please?

I've only gotten it from Golden saints as random drops.

Don't know if there's any hidden somewhere though.

Random loot from GS only. Unless you manage to break into the Bethesda test rooms or lord Cluttermonkey's warehouse. But that can be done only via TES. So you must simply be lucky. The same for glass tower shield.

Hard to answer, but like the others said, you'll find them randomly. I've finished the game three times now, and only the first time i found a Daedric towershield. Three of them strangely enough, because someone told me there should be only one in the game.

The other two times i played Morrowind, i didn't find a single shield, no tower, nor a normal daedric shield. Same goes for a cuirass btw. I'd like to find one for a change instead of killing that guy in that tower.
