Stoneskin/Mirror image stackable?

Something I have noticed is that when I have both mirror image and stoneskin on.. the stoneskin gets knocked off when my mirrors are hit.. is this supposed to be right?

To my understanding, stoneskin absorbes 5 hits
Mirror image absorbs however many images are made worth of hits

But.. if lets say Aerie has 6 mirror images of her,stoneskin on, and an enemy is attacking her.. then what I see happening is when there is only one image left (the enemy has hit her 5 times) the stoneskin dissolves..

Shouldn't they stack? In the above example, shouldn't she absorb 11 enemy hits?

Unfortunately, this is not the case. Mirror Image and Stoneskin are independent spells and thus ignore each other. When Aerie gets hit, she gets hit, and any effects from being hit take effect; namely, one mirror image gets removed and one stoneskin gets removed. Also note, that if Aerie were to be hit with a weapon that also inflicts fire damage that she would take the fire damage but not the physical damage; such is the nature of Stoneskin. Spells such as Mantle prevent being hit, which would preserve the mirror images and/or stoneskins.
