Rapax walkthrough

Have checked a few walkthroughs, and haven't found one that covers the rapax rift/castle.

Am totally stumped, can't find the 'initiates' temple to get the canzou, don't know 'who sent me', can't find rapax royals, except for the prince who made a quick exit.

Any help with the above problems deeply appreiciated-- If I had 2 dead ratkins, I'd give one to you...

From the entry hall to the castle - exit to the left and do the hallway bit to a large open hall. Up the ramp and to your left is the first green dot to talk to about becoming a templar. You get a sigil from memory, that gets you into the temple next door (another green dot and more talking), then it's back to the first door to enter for testing. Hope that helps.

I have been to Rapax land with two separate parties. Both times I got there, the Rapax were hostile. How can we get off to a good start?

I do not know if this makes a difference as I am testing it out in my current game. Remember those trynnies near the seventh bough in Trynton that were being attacked by Rapax? When you help them, the first time you kill one of those Rapax, your faction rating goes down. This game I am going to try not helping those particular trynnie and see if it helps. It may not.

It does not matter. The rapax are hostile creatures.

If you are sick and tired of fighting rapax, then go fight them early in the game. Then you will only face some priestesses and a little veterans + some samurais + some initiates + archers + bowmen. Just be sure to bring some freeze flesh and freeze all spells with you. A bard is perfect for this part of the game, as it gets a certain instrument quite early.

But I have read on these boards about being a templar. How does that happen if they are all hostile?

As soon as you reach Ferro he will tell you to become templars.
From what I seem to remember this will change your faction rating with the rapax to friendly.

You don't have to go all the way to Ferro, once you're inside the castle you can go straight to that quest, upstairs to the left, like Davros said, talk to the only Rapaxes you can.
