I just started a 2 Bishop party. One is a gnome and the other an elf. Both have int and pie within one of each other. I started both as Bishops, chsnged to mage for lvl 2, then back to bishop at lvl 3. The elf now has 52 spell points to the gnome's 35. What I really don't understand though is how different the spell choices are already. The elf has a Wiz skill of 15 and 3 in devine spells, teh gnome has 11 in Wiz and 14 in devine spells. Yet the elf bishop is getting a huge number more spell options in both divinine, such as enchanted blade, and also in air, which both have only 5 points into. Why should a wiz skill of 15 have so much stronger an effect than a wiz skill of 11? Is there some sort of racial bonus of something for elves that I missed somewhere? (I am trying to focus one in divine/psi and the other in wiz/alch, however, at lvl 4 there is still very little diff in skill point allocation.)

Hi chimera !
OK - I don't know why your Bishops have not the same spellpoints... but perhaps I can help to your other question:

the spell-level depents mainly on your Skill-Level in "Wizardry", "Alchemie", etc. The Skill-level in "Divine", "AiR", ... does not count so much... only 10 % !!
When your first Bishop has a skill-level "Wizardry" of 15 he can get all 2-Lvl-Spells of a Mage.

The other Bishop only has a "Wizardry" skill of 11, plus 10% of 14 "Devine" = 12 ! But the 2-Levle-Spells are only awailable at "15".

...hope that helps... I think it is the best you put your skill.points in the "main" Skills, like "Alchimie" "Wizardy" or "Psionic".. and don't waste them on "Air"...

here a small list:

Spell-Lvl. Skill Lvl.
1 0
2 15
3 30
4 45
5 60
6 75
7 90

Example for the 10 %rule
Lvl. 3 Spells: "Wizardry" = 30 or "Wizardry" =28 + "Fire" = 20

Thanks Silaya! Never had to really think about that before. Mages and priests are definitly fidderent than bishops.
