Not going to happen unless sales of HotU are massively better than expected. Atari always did suck. Bioware will probably keep releasing new content and there is speculation of some pay-for-download releases, but no new expansion pack.

There'd be no new expansion as they're working on other RPGs. There's a debate on other ways to patch or create new content for the game. Which would be needed to be paid for because it's of no use to Bioware to keep supporting it. I'd be happy to pay for it, I just hope they don't make it credit card only or something

Many say this will most likely be the last game Bioware make that bears the D&D name. I'm not going to stop hoping, though. Despite their infamy for bugs they are the leading develepors of D&D CRPG's right now so without them we've got....Troika?

I think that their own made up games will be cool as well, despite it being not D&D. But with 3rd edition it is possible to copy the game mechanics under anothe rname and with different names, so parts of it might be used. I wouldn't mind a more bugless version of a roleplaying game, especially since some//most bugs seem to be implementing not via the books so that's essentially different anyway. And if there's no new D&D rpg anymore we still have Aurora

Well, I may be remembering incorrectly, but when NWN came out, I am sure that I heard there were plans for 3 expansions...

Doesn't look like it. The proposed method is DD.

I keep hearing vague rumours about Witches Wake 2 being back on track but can't confirm. Combined with some new content (models, PrCs, monsters etc.) that would be a NICE present from Bioware.
