Got to the Finale of chapter one, had to switch characters!!?

Ok I am new to this board, so Eya and I am new to the game...
I have completed all of the missions and got the creatures for the cure, right about when I am supposed to go into the ritual thing
.. something pops up on my screen and tells me to pick a character!!?
I have a choice from Fenthick all the way to desther and my own character that I made.. so naturally I pick the character I made and have been working with, but when the game loads she is only level one! and I have lost all of the items in my inventory that I gained,
I am wondering if this is supposed to happen? and if it is does it happen every new chapter!?
please help!

now THAT sounds like a bug. go to bioware, and post this!! other than that......NO, that should not happen. i dont know what do say, except i hope you figure it out!!!

Have you D/l'd any Mods that this might have something to do with? If not then yeah Id say Bug... have you used the updater yet? It might be worth it [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thank you very much for the advice, I am glad that this isn't supposed to happen, because if it was I would have to say that the game sucks! lol! heh.. oh well I will email bioware, and I haven't gotten the update yet so I will try that.

Are you absolutely certain you clicked on the Load game button, as opposed to the New button? If you click the New button, you have the option to create a character and pick a new character. Be sure to try it again, if you haven't already done so.

Try this: open your nwnplayer.ini file and edit the settings to as follows:

Single Player ItemLevelRestrictions=0
Single Player Enforce Level Characters=0
I encountered the same problem and saw this solution in another forum. It worked for me.

Thank you for your advice and comments I don't know exactly what happend when I was playing but it sucked. I finally went back to the game and went to a save that wasn't to far behind where I was and this time everything worked alright! So now I am on ch. 2 and happy!!
