cloak of the wolf

is this cloak actually worth having, i mean wolf form is cool and all, and it would be tight to have like a hasted wolf, but since you can't put on boots of speed and have the speed bonus in wolf form, is their ne real use for it or should i just sell it?

Shapeshifted forms can be quite useful in the early parts of the game (a single Wolf can pose a significant threat to a party just out of Candlekeep), but since they never get better, and the party quickly gains levels and finds more powerful equipment, Shapeshifting quickly loses its appeal. With that said, however, even a Level 9 Mage would look on the Cloak of the Wolf as a godsend, if you happen to be out of spells for the day.
