I don't know if this topic has been discussed before, but I haven't been able to find the answer to this question. I have been into Pomab's Emporiun in the prologue, the smith and the magician in Kuldahar and have not seen the "Steal" screen whenever my thief talks to them. I was going to try to steal some supplies from them, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the steal screen. I thought that it automatically showed up whenever a thief was talking to a merchant. Please let me know if I am missing something, if this feature was left out of the game, or if I just cannot steal from the merchants in the first couple of chapters.
