Does anyone know how to get into the monastery in Amkethran? I
know that the smugglers must know a way, but I haven't been able to locate them since my first talk encounter with them in the cave. I haven't played in a while, and I don't remember what our last conversation was about, so I don't know where to find the smuggler leader (Asemon?). Does anyone have any clues? By the way, I already know about the cave of the dead, since I assisted Marlowe with the lich problem (although I was unable to access certain doors in the cave). Stormhammer |

Hmm, you meet Saemon after finishing off Abagazil and Sendai. Then go to the theives hidout, tells you how to get. Forgot, hmm, puzzled. Sorry, i'll try to find it. I know Saemon fakes it, saying he's taking you in to be killed, and you meet him at the gates or something.

Darn, that's the point that had me so frustrated that I quit TOB and restarted SoA. Anyone?

You have 3 options... ...
1) Swallow your pride and let Saemon 'help' you. Rightttt... I rather dance in front in bears covered in honey. 2) Massarce the Monks in front of the gates, one of them has the key. The easiest, if most brutal way. 3) Talk to the Innkeeper for help, he will direct you to a couple who are neighbours with the fleeing nobleman. They will give you a key which will unlock a secret passage in the Cave of the Dead. The most troublesome, but no major fighting involved. For the record, I usually choose option number 2. |

quote: Dundee, This is my favorite option... I AM THE MOST POWERFUL BHAALSPAWN!!! ALL OF MY ENEMIES WILL FALL BEFORE MY POWER!!!! AH-HAHAHAHAHA!!! Ooops, I'm also some form of good character... Last time thru, I played an elven archer named Elwyn Darkwood. Picking up and selling off all of the great stuff dropeed my the dead mercs is a pain, but there's SO much booty and I love to see my character's GP count rise to stratospheric levels before the end of ToB. Also, wiping out the monks and the mercs is a great way to pick a few more XP. Heck, after wiping out them once, I jumped back to my little piece of hell called home, rested, and came back and found more mercs and monks who wanted to get roudy. More mercs and Monks ... even more XP and gold!!! |
