No Problem with kangaxx

i just defeated kangaxx after 2nd time. all i did was use wand of gambling and it petrified him then used ring of ram and horn of blasting and melfs minute meteor. i dont know what all the fuss is about?

also, where do you get the quest where you get the rouge stone to get into the room in the bridge district where it says,"there is only darkness" next to the other lich there? sorry about sentence fragments lol

If I read correctly, you have just robbed yourself of the most powerful ring in the game. You have defeated the Lich, but not the Demi-Lich.

Petrification on unique bosses equals bad juju.

well actually i did the petrification when he was a demi lich don tknow how but thats what happened! and i got gaxx

How did you get the ring? When you petrify an enemy and make them shatter, all of their items (excpet gold and jewelry I think) are lost with him.

Ps- The trouble people are mentioning about Kangaxx is usually because they have the Tactics mod installed.

Er... IIRC isnt the demi-lich IMMUNE to L1~9 spells??? How on earth did u petrify him? It should've said "Spell Ineffective" Also, after killing enemies in stone form all but the gold is destoryed... And u've still gotten the Ring of Gaxx??? Man u r so lucky...

Man, I really don't understand the whole Kangaxx problem. It's really simple, AVATAR!!! You're the friggin Son of Murder for crying out loud, mutate and kick his butt, er...skull, all over the place!!! Really though, my first time playing that battle, I simply got my ass handed to me about 7 or 8 times by the demi-lich. Then I was losing agian and decided to morph. I had about 20 hp left and good old gaxx was throwing imprisonments at 5000 rpm. Everyone of them bounced off the avatar for some reason. Only half my characters could actually HIT gaxx, not only could the avatar hit gaxx, and do additional cold damage, AND get a strength/con/dex boost, but he also got a poopload more APR. Nowadays I just kill the lich and use the avatar and mages for anti-mage artillery and finish him off in about 2 rounds.

That's what I came up with when I played the game for the first time... Slayer can kick anyones butt... But for most soloer (I dunno if jamalez solos) we pretty much want the Ring of Gaxx ASAP due to the fact that it is a "very" good ring. So most people dont want to wait until Chapter 6 to get that ring.

Not to mention that it requires sacrificing some reputation.

In any case... a level 7-8 solo character can take out Kangaxx using the right cheese.

Although this cheese is generally considered a last resort, and kinda takes out the fun of fighting Kangaxx.

i really have no idea why first he got petrified... mabye because of the wand of gambling?

and second why i still got gaxx... mabye because they count a magical ring as jewlery

but i didnt get any experience and i am in chapter 2

so mabye just lucky?
