help with jaheira (not a bug) (spoilers)

At least, Im pretty sure it's not a bug...
I'm not getting the first random encounter that leads you to the harper hold, I think it's because I accidently told her to shut up and I've ended the romance. Can anyone tell me what to set using shadow keeper to reset the romance with her please ?

Actually, that quest happens when you are/aren't romancing Jaheira. The encounter is triggered when you leave Athkatla.

well Ive gone to the umar hills twice now to try and trigger it.
I already had the encounter with suni senai or whatever her name is but still no harper guy.

is there anything else I need to do to trigger that quest ?

TDD doesnt cancel it does it ? no it cant because getting Xzar and monty require that encounter. I havent done the circus tent yet, but that shouldnt matter... I also put nalia on hold ("it will be as if we never met"), but I spoke to delon before kicking out minsc, so I have to umar hills.

it's bugging me, I should have had the encounter by now

I think it happens when you travel from the City Gates to the de'Arnise Keep.

It happens whenever you leave Athkatla, IIRC.

actually Ive had it happen at all different times. It seems to usually happen the first time you leave the city, but if you dont leave the city for a while, it will happen on any travelling between maps.

my updated situation is... I finally came across renfeld and rescued him, took him to the harper hold. No one has come for jaheira yet though... do I need to rescuse monty to trigger the next event or is that independant ? (I just realised I didnt rescue monty yet, so I guess that's the problem).

also: Ive heard that getting your romance npc killed ends the romance even though you can resurect them... is this true ? does it include petrification ? if so, would being turned to stone end the harper subplot for jaheira or is that separate from her romance ? (All I bloody want jaheira for is so I can fight the harpers and get the ring of wizardry or whatever it is... and she's being so darn difficult Im about to abandon the whole thing and do without it... Ive never had problems like this with her before)

In all my games, a visit to the graveyard always triggers the random encounter with the renfeld guys. But I've had the same problem: waiting for Meronia to summon Jaheira to the Harper Hold. I think the Meronia event has a real-time trigger, so doing things like "go to D'Arnise Keep - sleep-sleep-sleep, come back to Ahkatla, sleep-sleep-sleep" won't help.

Also, in all my games Meronia shows up AFTER doing the Montaron's quest. Always.

I know this won't help you in your actual game, but what I do is: I kick Jaheira out as soon as we leave Irenicus' Dungeon. Then I do some quests, like the Circus, Lehtinan, Slavers, Monty, etc, and after a LONG while I get Jaheira back in the party. Meronia appears immediately.

Anyway, try doing the Monty quest...
