Just wondering if the jaheira romance can continue into chapters 4 and beyond with no ill effects. I've done all there is to be done in chapter 3 and I'm a fair way into the romance now, past the summoning to the harper hold, the bandit attack and the meeting with Reviene.

The romance will be put on hold in chapter 4 and 5, and resume normally with no ill effects in chapter 6.

No, i havn't met Mr cunningly reversed name yet... Played this character through from BG1 and annoyingly stumbled upon the ending spoiler for this romance. Ah well...

. . . . . . . . . . . . There is a timer activated battle that concludes the action on the Jaheria romance. I ran into problems once when, because I'd been away so long, the opponents turned up as soon as I emerged from the underdark, and the elves went hostile when I defended myself - which screwed up the main plot. I had to reload about 6 times before I avoided the enemy spawning. |

Whoops - I missed the punchline on my precious post. My point was that if I am doing the Jaheria romance (and I do love the accent) then I make sure that I either head into chapters 4 and 5 while the storyline still has some way to go, or hang around until it is safely resolved. The problem is that, unless you don't mind being spoiled, you don't know what point is the potentially tricky one to leave at. But, I guess, if you get stuck and all else fails, it should be possible to use Shadowkeeper to reset the timer flag.
