I'm with Bernardo, a well-placed fireball is so satisfying in the xvart village. It wipes out nearly all of them in one go if you're lucky. I wouldn't consider this a waste of a spell - I'd see it as not wasting a million arrows on crappy opponents who aren't worth the hassle of going back to Beregost and re-stocking

Fireballs are perfect for Xvarts, gibberlings, big groups of spiders (like at the cloudpeak mines), etc. It usually wipes them all out at once, so I'd agree with Arledrian

That's right!
Better loosing one spell (that you don't really loose, cause all you have to do is rest again to have it back) then many arrows that you cannot have back simply resting, but having to buy some or having to kill other monsters or what ever.

Using a spell is so much faster! And if you add a blocking spell (like "web") you don't have to get hurt!

It is so much better!
