I generally like bands with a rock element... you know, drums or guitars somewhere in there

Slipknot, Disturbed, Korn, Tool, Rob Zombie, System of a Down, Blindspott etc.

One Track Mind gets a special mention for having the stupidest song I've ever heard: 'I Like You.'

My favorite style is Tool, deep, melodic, hard, emotional.
But, I have respect for all music, especialy if there is a guitar involved!

Music is my life. I love music, and am at my happiest when there is music playing. I like lots of different types of music.

60s Ska, Rocksteady, Bluebeat, Reggae, Skinhead Reggae, some Dub Reggae, Jamaican RnB (late 50s early 60s), 60s RnB, Beat, Blues, some Modern Jazz, Classic Soul (60s), Northern Soul, Motown, 2 Tone, Mod Revival, Punk (70s), Funk, Classical, 60s Pop, Britpop, and some old rock/metal.

Favourite bands/artists/composers (in no particular order):

Prince Buster, The Skatalites, Justin Hinds & The Dominoes, The Pioneers, The Techniques, The Zombies, The Riots, Desmond Dekker, Baba Brooks, Millie, The Ethiopians, Toots & The Maytals, Dave & Ansel Collins, John Holt, Derrick Morgan, The Creations, The Upsetters, Dandy Livingstone, Tony Tribe, Symarip, Dice The Boss, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Laurel Aitken, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Faces, The Who, The Spencer Davis Group, Georgie Fame, The Yardbirds, The Troggs, Amen Corner, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers, Manfred Mann, The Dave Clark 5, The Honeycombs, The Pretty Things, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Edwin Starr, The Parliaments/Parliament, The Olympics, Booker T & The MGs, The Kingsmen, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Sam & Dave, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Bessie Smith, Billie Holliday, Nina Simone (RIP ), The Four Tops, Kim Weston, Dobie Gray, The Fascinations, Tony Clarke, Darrell Banks, Bob & Earl, Martha Reeves, The Specials, The Selecter, Bad Manners, The Beat, early Madness, The Chords, The Jam, The Clash, The Ramones, Ian Dury, The Only Ones, The Stranglers, The Damned, Sham 69, Angelic Upstarts, The Undertones, X-Ray Specs, early Oasis, Pulp, Blur, some Radiohead, early Manic Street Preachers, Fun-Da-Mental, Senser, Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, early Black Sabbath, Mozart, Beethoven, Prokovief, Shostakovich, Verdi, Orff, Eric Satie.

I expect that most of these none of you have ever heard of and my list will leave you feeling slightly confused. (With the possible exception of Donut, who knows everything )

I listen to several kinds of music, mainly rock, but generally anything I find that has a good beat. I try to avoid anything with an explicit content tag, so I guess that filters out most rap. This is pretty apparent with Linkin Park and Jimmy Eat World being two of my all-time favorites. Besides the excessive cussing, I typically don't limit myself to what I listen to.

Eh, stuff Like “Steeleye Span” and Black Metal Ala “Summoning” and “Bal-Sagoth” Is something I’ve been enjoying recently. Though summoning is almost like drum dominated trance with black metal elemants or sometihng and the spitting voice.
I hated “Morbid Angel” though. They were pants.

I rather enjoyed Orff’s Carmina Burana, Hook that up with a good pair of speakers and it’s “heavier” than any heavy metal. Greig’s “Peer Gynt Suites” were appreciated too.
