Ring? this is my dog sparky. honestly how disgusting is this?

Stolen yes... because nobody in his/her right mind will want to steal an urn of ashes anyway.

"Let me get this straight mdm. The burglar stole your mother and placed her in his pocket?"

Easier to lose though, is subjective. If the urn spills onto somewhere wet... well... not good. However, if a diamond lands somewhere wet, it is no problem.
I read once of an elderly woman who had her dog, Charlie, in an urn. While she was out, someone broke into her house, saw the urn marked "Charlie" and proceeded to snort it through their nose...better or worse than stealing the urn?

I can't play Morrowind at present -- my graphics card's not up to it... But it's not unique to Morrowind. You can find similar ideas in other games as well, plus books, comics etc. Diablo 2 for example.

Different characters become different types of gems when cremated, you know. High-level clerics and paladins become diamonds, elves become opals, dwarves become rubies, halflings emeralds, orcs lapis lazuli, and so on. Hold it -- this occurs only in AD&D: K T Ong's Revised Edition...

I guess this is only a problem if you're one of those soul-believing types
I don't think there's anything wrong with recycling dead organic nutrients into nice pretty gems Not as bad as pumping them full of embalming fluid and burying them in a non-biodegradable coffin where their cells can't reprocess into the ecosystem. At least they end up looking nice.
