I find your analogy wholy insufficient. I believe you need at least a 10-page discussion to flesh it out thoroughly. Let's ask John Kerry to write it for you.

It's not the fall that kills you it's the sudden stop. Get one. Send me an offer for my part of the mountian build away and charge what you can get. Better learn to look up and dodge rocks, or prepare for that sudden stop.

ROTFLMAO a 10 page discussion

I can, and I do. If we went to D.C. and dragged lawmakers out on the mall and lynched them for just a bit, maybe we'd get their attention. Nothing else is working.
It's at that point that a revolt must be a viable option. Then again, this situation may only be a result of it not being a viable option.

Except, under Bush 3 MILLION JOBS HAVE BEEN LOST!!! Okay, in the last few months many jobs have been created but they're paying less and there's still 1.2 million jobs less than when Bush first took office. You call that a good economy? Did you even know that percentage of unemployment you're shown doesn't count the people who've been out of work for a year or those who have given up looking for work? I'm sure there's lower unemployment and poverty in other countries (mostly European) If you want me to give some sources, I can but that will some take research and I don't that much time.

If you don't give a rat's ass about what the world thinks, then it's no wonder that a lot of people hate the United States and are unwilling to cooperate. You need the help of other countries to successfully wage the War on Terror. Iraq really had nothing to do with the war on terror and was waged on the basis of misleading information about WMD and links to al-qaeda. Yes Saddam was an evil dictator, but if Bush really wanted to go
about establishing democracy, he could be doing it in 30 different countries.
OK Gab what was the USA unemployement rate in 1996? what is the unemployement rate now? which one is lower which one is higher? What was the avg. US unemployement rate for the 8 years of enlightenment('92-'00)? Which is higher the umeployement rate now or then? I'll take your bet on the unemployement rates of other contries exspecily(sp?) European countries all day long, we can compare you WILL find the USA unemployement rates are considerably lower useing the standards you are applying to the current situation in the USA of 5.6 % unemployement. Oh and while you are at it I believe you'll find the unemployement rates also don't included those that are self-employeed. So don't try and give me the "ones that have stopped looking" crap, if they stopped looking they don't deserve a job. Their fault not anybody else's fault, they CHOOSE to stop looking. If I can find a job I want I'll take a job I can get, but that's me I don't think anybody owes me anything I an responsible for my own life and actions, the rest of you people can do what you want, sit and complain, get off your butt and do something It matters not to me. I'll be doing something I've got to many people depending on me! For me to be sitting arround and whinning about this or that.

We may just start on making nearly 30 countries democratic that's for the future I have no problem with that, do you?

Why the "Hale" should I care about what others think, when they sure as "HALE" don't care about what I think? that is an extremely arrogant point of view for them to have: You the USA must care about what we think , but we don't have to care about what you think! I don't deal with or accept Arrogant Hypocrits points of view, Nor I believe they have to deal with or accept mine. That is called being fair.
Guess what Harris? Unemployment in 1996 was at 5.4%. That's lower than it is now. In 1992, unemployment was at 7.5%. From then on unemployment gradually decreased until 2001. In 2000 unemployment was at a low 4%. In 2001 (the year Bush took office) unemployment rose to 4.7%. By 2003 unemployment was at 6%. Only recently has unemployment decresed. Source. Have you even forgotten about what I've said about percentage of unemployment does not count people who've been out of work for a year? That's important to know considering the fact that 3 million jobs have been lost under Bush. If you have enough time and willing to do some research on other countries economy and unemployment percentage, then I suggest you check out this site for information on other countries econonmies. I'll just say that some countries like Britain, Sweden and Norway have lower unemployment.

If the United States really cares about establishing democracy and saving peoples lives instead of oil, African countries like Sudan are good places to start proving it.

I'm not sure it's a case other countries not careing about what the U.S. thinks, i think it's more of a case of them being pissed with the U.S. for not giving a care about what they think. I merely broughts this up because earlier it seemed like you were basically saying SCREW YOU WORLD!!

The "we deserve the right to revolt" clause is soooooo outdated. It won't ever happen under the 2 party political system, so the 2nd Amendment rights and protections are just an NRA promulgated sham.

Just my 2c .

Gab, John D is fully aware of the situation in Sudan. He's been talking about it and complaining that no one does anything several times here at the board.

Gab and John D., you are in an unwinable argument. Those who cite Clinton for a good economy will cite the record during his years of office and will point out that he was willing to (and did) shut down the federal government, refusing to sign a budget that wasn't balanced and making Congress pass it.

Those on the other side of the aisle will tell a story of GHWB finally fixing the budget and getting it turned around, but only after the elections and just in time for Clinton to step into office. They will say that the Repug Congressional majority, not the president, insisted on a balanced budget, and they will point out that the economic downturn began during Clinton's reign, just in time to hand a poor economy over to Bush.

Now, I personally side with the Clintonistas on this issue, but my point is that this argument is not winable. Each side has facts to argue, and arguments to make against the other side's facts. So, this great debate you guys are engaging in is sorta like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer -- it feels good when you stop.

Thanks for giving me more insights on John D. I'm not usually a regular member of this board .

gab, I've been shouting from the mountain tops about the problem in the Sudan, I have NO/ZERO/NADA problem with the USA going in and Kicking anybodies rear-end that needs it9or any other country that has the guts/will to do so. On the Sudan when I brought it up, the Liberal/love/brotherhood of man crowd on this board wouldn't do a damn thing to help stop it. They couldn't even be bothered to write/send an Email to their gov't to do something about it, or even try to discuss it. Instead they wanted to argue about it. I can only guess at the reason based on 40+ years of life, and that reason is if they agreed with this evil/mean/baby killng/old folks throwing out/poluting Conserveative they believe thier heads would EXPLODE. Instead of saying to themselves hey we finally got one of them on ourside, lets do something to set this right. BUT NO, they are to damn worried about their position and busy crying about others claiming they are the one influenced by position.
Oh by the way the only ones I can see trying to do anything about the Sudan is the evil hatemongering adminstration of President Bush. He's had Sec.of State Powell push for the UN to do something, but as usual that distingushed orginization of peace loving/Humanitarians are sitting on their collective rear-end trying to find the directions of how to have a circle-jerk. The peace/Love/Brotherhood of Man/We all live in this world crowd sit around and complain about how bad it is in the Sudan and don't lift a finger to do a damn thing. Reminds me of the old saying "they'll tie millstones around peoples necks cast them into the sea, but not lift a finger to help then their are drowning."

EDIT: I see the EU threatened sactions after the USA.

P.S. the link you provided went here http://templates.doteasy.com/ErrorPages/error404/
Sorry no unemployement info on that page. provide a better source. No I have not forgot what you said, have you forgot what I said about if they don't look for work, itis their life! Quit piss'n & moun'n to me about people that don't/won't get off their rear ends. It's not my job to make them get off their rear-ends THAT's their job.
