A good thing to note on the Hemp/Marijuana points:

You can't smoke anything from Hemp plants because the male plants are used, it's the females that bud. You can use male plants to make hash.. but it sucks, and are much better to use female shake to make hash as well. So basically a ban on growing hemp is very stupid and unfounded.

Also.. i'm against the legalization of weed.. i don't want my smoke taxed. However i am all for the decriminilization of it! whoo..

Industrial hemp is also very differnt than the kind used for medicine or recreation. Very little or no THC and a very very very harsh smoke.

I used to favor decrimin, but some research shows it would lead to more enforcement rather than less. More police meddling and the govt. profits at the expense of ciizens who pay more fines. Legalized and taxed is the only thing I can support.

All of this is moot to the topic though, because only the libertarians have legalizaton on their platfrom.

In the vast majority of the world the poorest in the USA would be consider wealthy, so don't even talk to me about how tough it is being poor. My wife & I raised 2 daughters, bought a house and lived on only one income of $7.50 hr. in the early 90's. It's not the high cost of living IT'S the cost of living high. $420,000,000,000 defiect out of a $15-20,000,000,000,000 economy give me a break that's 2-3% debt. I bet any of you would wish to have only a 2-3% debt a year, if you have any doubts check out your credit card balances, do the math, then get back to me.

Except, under Bush 3 MILLION JOBS HAVE BEEN LOST!!! Okay, in the last few months many jobs have been created but they're paying less and there's still 1.2 million jobs less than when Bush first took office. You call that a good economy? Did you even know that percentage of unemployment you're shown doesn't count the people who've been out of work for a year or those who have given up looking for work? I'm sure there's lower unemployment and poverty in other countries (mostly European) If you want me to give some sources, I can but that will some take research and I don't that much time.

If you don't give a rat's ass about what the world thinks, then it's no wonder that a lot of people hate the United States and are unwilling to cooperate. You need the help of other countries to successfully wage the War on Terror. Iraq really had nothing to do with the war on terror and was waged on the basis of misleading information about WMD and links to al-qaeda. Yes Saddam was an evil dictator, but if Bush really wanted to go
about establishing democracy, he could be doing it in 30 different countries.

It's going to go through in Canada and decriminlization here would take the form of lesser penalties for small amounts (15 grams or less) and harsher penalties for greater amounts and distribution related activities.

Yes I agree with it more or less but am not sure how it affects growing a plant or two for personal.

To be honest though it really doesn't make to much of a difference where i'm from. Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, the lower mainland, and various parts of the interior it's pretty much a non-issue to get caught with a small amount of weed anyways. I've been busted a couple times and the worst that has ever happened was the cops took my bag away.

I understood perfectly the first time, and I agree perfectly, no drug control is 'sensible' as it's either fostered on Paternalistic pretenses, or it's utterly nonsensical in nature.
