So far not too bad, uses a type of turn based combat that is different from the BG and IWD series but it wasn't too hard adjusting. Not a bad game for $9 but I would have been disappointed if I had bought this game when it came out for over $50. Graphics are nice but they don't seem to give much control over your character when leveling which is possibly the biggest disappointment.

Good luck ... $9 isn't bad but personally I think they should be paying YOU to play it.

It's still #1 on my all time worst games I've actually completed list... and very high on my list of worst games ever made.

The cheep releases v1.4 seem to have most of the bugs fixed. The only bug I have stumbeled across is one that deletes your save game files were it says no more memory delete your saved game. It is in interesting bug and if someone isn't paying attention they could lose were they are. I mean the message ask you to free up memory by deleting a saved game but goes ahead and deletes it itself. Kind of nasty but not if you remember to save after seeing this. The combat is actually fairly decent and the dungons are some of the largest I have come across in a game. Now I have not completed it yet but so far so good. It is a great dungon crawl with a decent turn based fighting system. Were it lacks is the interation with NPC's as most you meet are to be killed with very little choice in the matter. Also there isn't really anyway to build your character sure you can choose what class per level but that is about it, with the exception of sorceror were you get to choose spells. I am going to say it is a fun game to play when you want a few minutes of a dungon crawl but I believe this game could have been so much more. Everything seems to be there for a great game if they just had greater character and story development it could have been a great game but instead it falls flat. I mean I don't know how to put it but I feel nothing for my characters or any one I meet.

I've got this game wrapped up on my shelf, waiting for the inclination and free time to play it. I'm glad to hear there are some positives. I did remember thinking its style of models were cool, in that they kinda looked like animated versions of the pewter figures I used to paint.

Edit: Hey cute kid Pritchke! I suspect this kid offers you many opportunities for unplanned early morning gaming when you can't go back to sleep.

Thanks Lucern, Last night was the first night he slept through without waiting to feed. But he does give me an opportunity to play and stay up when it is my shift and my wife needs sleep. As long as he stays asleep. I am not one that can just get up and go back to sleep. If I need to look after him than I am up.
