"A paladin, did you say???"

Murdock dismissed the strange comment and began to make preparations for their departure. Within the next two hours, they were creeping along at a fair pace, and crept right past the guards at the gate, thanks to lightfootedness and a special cloak. Soon, they had found and filled thier bags with many fresh fruits and vegetables from the stash that had been left by the vendor only an hour earlier, and made their way to Larry's dwelling. It was good to be home, and they needed a rest for a bit. Murdock took a shower while Mia snooped around, being careful not to trip any of the traps that Murdock had promised were about.
After his shower, they sat in the darkened room, fearing to turn on any lights so as to not allow anyone the knowedge that he had returned home, and then Mia inquired about the item that he had promised her. Smirking at her...he pointed to the bed. She scowled and blushed. He said,

"No...it's under the bed...you move the bed, lift the floor board, and pick out the wrapped bundle. Go ahead!"

She did so with no trouble and began to unfold the layers of cloth.

Can you say g-i-r-l?" ~Kuroshi looked confused and chirped.~ "Ughm." ~Tobias flipped Kuroshi to face him.~ "No no no... G-i-r-l." ~Kuroshi laughed, pointed a tiny finger at Tobias' face and chirruped.~ "Gurl." ~Tobias shook his head and growled at the sprite.~ "No!! I'm a boy!" ~He turned Kuroshi to face you again.~ "Now what's she?" ~Kuroshi looked puzzled, then laughed.~ "Boi!" ~Tobias, wide eyed, flipped Kuroshi over again, much to the tot's satisfaction.~ "Well then what does that make you?!" ~Kuroshi howled.~ "Raawwwwaaawweey!" ~When Toby shook his head Kuroshi proceeded to grab his nose, causing the bard to act even more dramatic.~ "AHHHH!! HELP ME!!! HELP MEEEE!!"[/QB]

OOC- *rolling on floor, crying with laughter* this was so funny, my sister came over cuz she thought something was wrong with me! ^__^

Trying vainly not to giggle, Skye finally couldn't help herself, and burst out laughing. "I-I'm s-sorry!" she gasped, as she tried to control her laughter. "B-but, you sh-should see the *gasp* l-look on your face!"
After awhile (a long while, heehee ^.^) Skye disentangled a disgruntled Tobias and cheerful Kuroshi from eachother. "Now you know what I went through," she said to Tobias, as they walked more calmly towards the tavern. "I probably have a half-inch of drool accumulated on my clothes. I can't wait until we get to this tavern you told me about. But, erm," she faltered, "You'll have to, uh, watch Kuroshi while I get changed and cleaned up." Noticing the alarmed expression appear on Tobias' face, Skye continued on hurriedly "Don't worry, I'll make sure to get ready quickly. And afterwards I'll help Kuroshi realise you really aren't a 'pretty girl'." Her lips twitched slightly at this in amusement, but was able to contain herself. The monster, hearing his name mentioned, gurgled happily in Skye's ear, and pronounced "gurl!" while pointing at Tobias again, and chewing on a lock of Skye's hair.

~Lothali didn't seem very reassured.~ "I don't know, Kalluin... The malenti are supposed to look just like us! And only the dolphins can tell if they're sea-elves or malenti!" ~She shuddered, her gill-slits narrowing quickly.~ "That's fairly frightening if you ask me. Because sometimes the dolphins can't tell either, if the Sahuagin put enough charms on them." ~She looked over to Earros, then looked back at you.~ "But Earros has got to be great at catching malenti, so I guess you're safe, eh?" ~She grinned.~ "I'll bet my surface sapphires that you're 100% sea-elf!"

~The elf with the scar snapped his fingers again. The death grip on Felix loosened, though the ferret was still held tight. Now the elf smirked at you.~ "Kid, there are o'... 20 or so of us... And one of you..." ~He looked around at the other thieves with a raised eyebrow.~ "He might have to get rough with us my rogues!" ~Laughter filled the hall. The elf smirked at you again.~ "As you can see, we're all just quaking in terror. Now kid... Tell me... Why are you looking in a guild hall for such people? The Macadere and the fool pickpocket? You might try a graveyard for them."

~Mithia sat on the bed, unwraveling the cloth. She breathed a sigh of relief.~ "I was really frightened for a moment. Mosters under the bed and all..." ~She sniggered, then returned her concentration to the bundle. Her silver eyes lightened as she finally found the prize within.~ "I-...!" ~She looked up at you with a broad grin.~ "I've always wanted one of these! When I was younger than you I always begged Cal to bring me back one from Llitrium!" ~With childish delight she held up the weapon. It was a curved variety of dagger, with a blade as long as that of a short sword. Perfectly fit for throwing or beheading in its sharp stage.~ "Ahhh! I finally have my own kukri! How did you know?! I don't care!" ~Quickly laying the kukri down, she literally leaped across the room and pounced on you, hugging you around the neck.~ "Oooohh! I hate you Murdock! You're too damn lovable!"

"Okay, okay!! I knew because I picked it from a travelor that came through here about 7 years ago. He was a half-elf, and was very snotty about owning it. He bragged to everyone about it! It wasn't long before I learned about it and its value, especially to elven folk. I was looking for a good buyer for it, but never could bring myself to part with it. I think it's enchanted...it wouldn't let me sell it! Anyway...the poor fool was drunk one night when I met him on the streets. So, it found a new home with me. Now, I am glad to finally have a proper owner for it. One that deserves it.

Now come on! Are you ready for our next move?"

"If you must know then I am a thief.... I steal from the rich and give to the poor." He had once heard a tale of a thief that stole from the rich and gave to the poor, perhaps he'd fool them? "I was going to sell your blade and give the money to the many poor people of the city." Daelan silently prayed that they'd be fooled THIS time.

~Hanging his head, Tobias pointed at the tavern you were approaching.~ "There it is... My doom... ER." ~He snapped his head up and forced a huge fake grin.~ "The Lucky Lance Tavern."

~The inn was fairly quiet within. You assumed that most of the patrons were sleeping upstairs or passed out drunk at the bar. A fair crowd however was gathered by the fireplace, the people sleepliy chatting amongst themselves. Hanging on the back wall you could see a huge shining lance, somewhat bent at the end. Tobias called out to the bartender, an older human man with grey hair and his fair share of wrinkles and scars.~ "Ey' Phil!" ~The innkeeper acknowledged curiously.~ "The gal's just headin' up to mine! Don't get anyone to kill her!" ~Phil laughed and nodded. Tobias then reluctantly traded you a key for Kuroshi.~ "Fourth door from the end on the right. Sorry, but the place is booked solid and this is the only other tavern in town." ~Kuroshi gurgled, now eagerly gnawing on Tobias' thumb. The bard whimpered.~ "Please don't take too long! I don't want to know where he'll bite me next!" ~Kuroshi looked smugly at you, pointed at Tobias and cooed.~ "Gurl." ~Kuroshi then grappled onto one of the earrings on Tobias' left ear. Tobias winced then said.~ "Ahhhh... Ahhhh... Ouuuchhhh..." ~Trying to pull Kuroshi's stubborn hand away, he waved you away with his free hand.~ "Run Skye! Run well you still can! I'll hold him off!! Owwwww!"

"7 years ago?! You could barely crawl then!" ~Recoiling, Mia quickly dashed back to the bed and picked up her new kukri. She attatched the blade firmly to her belt with a length of string. She then looked to you happily.~ "Come on now, let's go." ~She paused then grinned.~ "Be a deary and help an old lady across the street."

~Shadowfall raised an eyebrow.~ "Oh?" ~He stepped forward.~ "And which were you going to help, hmmm? Name one." ~He looked to the sky casually, ticking off names.~ "Maybe Jed? Or Natya? Or the Laurel family? I hear Flora's husband just died... Maybe her?"

A cave on the way to Eastway

~Ryeley nodded his head.~ "Right sir." ~Then patiently turned back to his book. You soon enough found a piece of wood sturdy and dry enough to form a decent torch. Lighting it does little good, you still can't see the back of the cave and you've scared a few of the bats from their resting places.~

~The elf cackled.~ "Ho now! He's going to poison me!! Ahaha! Mummy, mummy!" ~The surrounding thieves snickered. The elf smirked at you, running a hand through his black hair.~ "Listen kid, I don't know a damn thing. But I do know that if you keep threatening me like this I may have to kill you, hollow as your words are. Do you want to die?"

"Ummm.... I hadn't really thought about it, I usually get the money first and then find someone to give it to later!" Daelan knew that he wasn't likely to fool his captors, but perhaps they'd be dumber than they looked....

Glorfindel just about floated to the ground he wanted to laugh so much, luckily all he let out was a little chuckle, looking back at her obviously she wondered what the chuckle was about.. "I.... ahh, well no Im not pure bred, I have part surfacerer in me as strange as that sounds, I know anlot about them also, possibly alot more than I know about us."
