Epona topples backwards as the door behind her pack suddenly opens. Dragging herself unceremoniously to her feet, she curses inwardly at her stupidity for being caught asleep - this is NOT a good way to impress a new would-be employer.
Pulling herself together, she smiles alluringly at the innkeeper.

"Well hello there kind sir? Might I be speaking to the renowned and famed Sir Ulrik Bahren, adventurer extraordinaire? Ah, the tales that are told of your exploits! Now about your encounters with the beasts of the forest, the denizens of the caverns and dungeons, righting wrongs and wronging rights? What a song could be sung, what a jest could be composed of such stuff! Kind Sir, if you would but allow me, Travelling Minstrel and songstress, she who is known as Epona the Melodious, to entertain your patrons nightly (using the art of song and story I might add, none of that funny business that I had over in Glossopton last summer), then your wonderous tales would soon become legend, melodious legend, in these parts. All I ask in return is a bed and food for the duration of my employ. Oh, and I also cook. Nothing else though. Well at least nothing.. ehem... dodgy. If you get my drift kind sir."

Although he's retired, he is still a huge strong toweting individual, with great strength and a gruff yet happy temperament.

And my guess is he's balding like any other good barkeep

IC: As he walked down from the hill, Steven spotted more immigrants as they slowly made their way into Waterdale by the twisting, dusty road.
Some quick inquiries told him it would be near impossible to find heavy cloth or a big enough piece of leather until the first merchants would come. Noone could offer a date though.
His second point of buisness, the chimney, heart and fireplace, brought him to a little shop owned by Joe McGuinly, according to the sign. He unbuttoned his cloak and slung it over his left shoulder before entering. He had bend forward a little so as not to bump his head in the doorway.
Looking around, he noticed how new this building was. Just like the others, he thought. The smell of woodshavings hung densely inside, and clearly the rows of tools had already been put to good use. Steven noticed a man looking at him on the other side of the shop, and he walked over.

"You Joe? Hi, I'm Steven. Look, I built myself a house over the past days, cut the oak myself, in fact, done it all by myself, bur ehr.. This is kinda embarassing, but I forgot to put in the heart and it ain't got no chimney either. So I's wondering if you could have a look at it an' see if you can fit one in for me.
I ain't got that much money but maybe I can help you out later on. You know, trade work fer work if you catch my meaning. How's about it?"

'Well, I was just thinking that a bard would be welcome here,' he said, 'and your terms sound reasonable.'
'Also, youi can trust me, no customer will want to try anything funny to any of my staff or another customer.'

OOC: Every town neads a garrison. How about i be the captain of the guard or sherif or whatever you want to call it. Besides, the Order cant be the only ones to protect the town, you need REAL men to keep order.

IC: Dagorion enters the newly made building and begins to inspect the jail cells. Satisfied that thay are sturdy enough to hold even the most roudy of drunks he decides to go to the local inn and get some lunch.

Name: Dagorion Waylandus
Race: Gray Elf
Class: Bladesinger
Occupation: Captain of the guard
History: Used to be an adventurer.

Wow, let's see. Either the town drunk, or a procrurer, or...one of Lady Galadria's policemen/knights. Naah, I wanna be Sir Tyree, Galadrai's wastrel huband, who keeps a drow girlfriend in town.
SIR TYREE (Rides into town to the small, luxurious dwelling that he maintains across the street from the tavern, ties his horse in front, waves at the dusky charmer with the platinum hair who is leaning out the window, and goes in.)

LOL @ Attalus

You know, with all the guards around, what we need are some criminals to keep them into shape
