Revive spell problems

My cleric finally reached the level 5 spells a little while ago, Revive being one of them. I was extremely happy, thinking I wouldn't have to travel all the way back to kuldahar all the time. However, every time so far that I've used the spell it hasn't worked. My cleric goes through the spell andit makes the complete sound, but my characters never rise. Am I missing something?

Hmmmm... memory is fuzzy at the moment, but is Revive the one that does not work on Elves? It might be the issue.

Other than that, CON values determine your % chance of success.

Dundee is right, Your character could be an elf.

Yes, revive is the spell that doesn't work on elves, but I don't have an elf in my party, so this shouldn't be the problem.

I guess it is the CON value modifiers then. Check your dead char's CON value and refer to the back of the manual to see his/her % chance of success at revival.

ADD] Out of curiosity, when you casted the spell, did you click the targetting cursor on the gray portrait?

Yes, you should click the target cursor on the gray portrait, NOT on the dead body.

ahhh, I always click on the body, when the spell cursor turns tan. I'll try the portrait thing next time I die and see if that works, also I'll check the con modes. Thanks guys.
