oh-la. So I'm new to the spell sequencers and I can't seem to get them to work for me. I read how people put 3 skull traps in their seqencer, but every time I do this I get three "spell failed"s. Also, when using area effect spells in the sequencer, it still requires me to target an individual, which isn't cool when they run right up on my party during the casting time.
Can you use these sequencers/spell trigger to do things like this: Lower resistance, chromatic orb, summon skeleton I know that's a stupid sequence, but my point is can one use enemy target spells in conjunction with non-enemy target spells? While we're at it, if anyone would like to post their favorite sequencer spells, I'd love some to get some ideas. Also, how do you remember what you have in a sequencer? I find myself forgetting what's there and end up wasting the spells. "did I put 2 magic missles OR a blur and mirror image?.. hmm " I wish there was a screen that gave this info, like the contingency screen. thanks for the help. S |

You can mix them, but you always need to target with them..
My current preference is to load up with two slow's and a high end summoning spell, though somtimes I use a holding spell like web.. Another one of my current favs is multiple larloc's(sp?) minor drain, instant healing..

two slows and a summon hmm? that sounds cool. Is slow cumulative/stacking?
Shamrock: If you put in 3 ADHW in a sequencer, do you have to target an enemy? Like I said, my skull traps fail when I do this, but I've never tried a HWilting. |

I've had no trouble putting 3 Magic Missile spells in a Spell Sequencer, so I can't see why putting 3 skull traps in a SpSeq should be a problem.

magic missle is MEANT to target an individual, skull trap isn't.. or am I doing something wrong here?

no you cant have a sequencer target anywhere, it must be on an individual. alsoyou can mix things like magic misile with things like summon monster, i did this when i played.

The casting range of a sequencer is 30'.
The casting range of Skull Trap is 20'. Ergo... cast nearer. |

Dundee got it.. I figured this out last night. I was trying to send the skull trap out past it's range.
Funny.. once again I couldn't remember what was in that sequencer so I summoned something and hit it thinking the SS was probably 3x MM or something.. well it was 3xSkullT and everyone in my party got a little shredded! heh..whoops.. thanks anyway Still interested in cool sequences if anyone feels like sharing. |
