How do people feel about importing a character into NWN that played through BG1 twice, BG2 w/o Throne of Bhaal twice, Throne of Bhaal only once, and BG2 with Throne of Bhaal once?

I ask the question because have one such character, a fighter, with sick stats, although I do not remember them offhand (I am at work). Although I would love to experiment with such a character in NWN, I think it would terribly unbalance gameplay. I would be interesting in reading what controls will be built into NWN to ensure that such a character does not make NWN unplayable.

I think you should try and justify how your stats came out like that, since you're not a Child of Bhaal, and you were not Gorion's ward, and those events did not concern you.

If you could import your character from ToB and it has the same stats, there should only be gods to fight, cause I think any character (especially soloed) is nearly a demigod. Think of it, Elminster is known as the most powerful wizard in the Forgotton Realms and he is "only" level 30 (I think). What would a child of Bhaal as a mage level 40 be? You are so powerful, you would laugh over any creature or avatar...

dream on, buddy
level means nothing in NWN. it is the mind matters (also, ont forget about evil sickish DMs)

if you just watch the last part of demo, you will know what I mean.

there are many ways to seek out and destroy a level 40 mage

it is very possible that Elminster was level drained through many of his encounters with his foes

remember, wisdom, knowledge and experiences are the strength.

Yeah, I mean how are you supposed to play a mage after say level 30 or so?? Too much damn power... If everyone who played through TOB imported their characters, there would be very little to do I think.. I imagine they automaticily bump you down or something...

Aye, welcome Lord Ed. Mirac, this is still a bit of a mystery and Bioware have been deliberately vague as to how the importation could or will work. As far as I can see, you will be able to import your character from either game but he/she will not be a 'vault' character. i.e. you will not be able to use him/her in official online games with other players.

As for Elminster, he has the following levels of various different classes in 3rd edition:

Fighter1/Rogue2/Cleric3/Wizard20/Archmage5/Epic4 =35 levels in total. His stats are:

STR: 13
DEX: 18
CON: 24
INT: 24
WIS: 18
CHA: 17

He also has many abilities as a chosen of Mystra.

For comparison:

His challenge rating (the number used to work out the EXP award for defeating him) is 45.

A Great Gold Dragon has a challenge rating of 26.

Elminster is very powerful indeed.
