You can start a multiplayer game and assign all of the characters to yourself.

I'd say: F/M/T, C/R, Sorcerer.
[/QUOTE]NO WAY..!?

Yes way. Then move the game back to the normal save games folder, and voila!

F/M, Sorcerer, F/C/M

Well, you see all those 'extra' cages around where you start? That's where the multiplayer chars go.

i guess the pure power choice is to walk over most traps and repair/reload and/or use spell turnings if the effect is known and serious - mainly because the thief portion doesn't add as much power as fighter or magic elements (if you avoid setting snares)

personally my parties use stealth a lot for most of SoA so i'd miss it and i find not being able to do the mechanical thief skills clumsy

Yes I noticed that. I know where most of the traps are but since this can be a problem make a C/T instead of C/M.

I'd definately like to have a thief. Not only for the convenient trap removal, but also for the ability to dispel illusions in spite of SIivination.
As Aragorn1 suggest a kensai->thief is a good option, one I have used myself in my most recent game. The backstab hits like a ton of bricks and when the enemies tries cheese or simply has their contingencies fire it is so easy to get rid of misleads, imp invisibilty, simuls and that lot.
Since your thief HLA UAI will negate the kensai armor restriction while preserving the bonus you have excellent AC.
My two cents worth. I'd have
Sorceror (for the obvious and for convinient recharge)
Mage/Cleric (for the rest)
Kensai->Thief (tank and assasin par excellence)
