My recommendation: Un-install Solaufein. That should fix your problems. Run the Setup-Sola program in your main SoA folder and press U, for uninstall!

OK, I'll try and explain it simpler....

Open your Main Baldur's Gate II folder. Look through it and search for a file with the name "Setup-Sola" or "Setup-Solaufein". When found, double click it. It will load up, and given you several options. Press U for uninstall. It will now automatically uninstall. That should solve your dialogue problem.

If not, uninstall the entire game. Do this by starting the game the normal way, with CD2, and click "Uninstall". Simple!

Did you have another program open when you installed Solaufein ?? Things like: Near Infinity, Shadow Keeper, Infinity Explorer, and the game itself can cause the problems you describe. Unistall Solaufein by running the program you used to install it, when it asks hit "uninstall".
THEN, download and run the patches listed in the FAQ under 'patches'. Then reinstall Solaufein, by running Setup-Solaufein.exe again. This should fix your familiar bug, aswell as your no-dialogue-with-Sola bug. But make sure you have nothing else open to do with the game.
