I thought this movie was alright. I'm just getting a bit sick of the 'hour and a half cotton candy' movies that Hollywood keeps spewing forth. They're all the same. The scenario varies slightly here and there, but it's always centered around some cheesy romance or apocolyptic doomsday. I like movies that require a bit of thinking. Not too many of them around though. I don't think I'll go to the movies again for a while, unless something really promising comes out.

I go see about every movie that come out. As long as a movie can keep me entertained for 2 hours I consider it did it's job.

I agree with you, there is not a lot of original movies around these days. Like Vanilla Sky, The Game,...

Well, Easter is always a lagging period for movies. The awards have just gone out, and Hollywood is rebooting itself. Right now, all that's coming out is kids films, and poor ones at that

I´ve seen it now and I have to admit I didn´t find it that goog. A little Jules Verne, a little Armageddon (which IMO totally sucked) and a bunch af the usual America saves the world. I hate leaving the movies with the feeling I just wasted some money.

exactly. except the interesting earth core world the movie portrayed with special effect, the last 2/3 isnt worth seeing.

It depend on what you compare it's movie to. This is a doomsday movie, so if you compare it to Armageddon, it's really good. But of course, if you compare to a serious kind of movie, it won't be that good.

By the way, I just went to see Phone Booth, it was damn good. It seem to me it lasted no more than 30 mins.

I finally saw the Core on DVD today. I liked it alot. There was no romance-plot that always finds a way to sneak into movies like this, so that was nice. It was fun and wonderful to watch. Certainly worth the rental cost, but not to own.
