By killing The Brain (I could be wrong) or use blunt weapons.

When you get there, you should be focusing on the master brain. It's good to send summons in first, especially Mordy's Swords, because everything's busy and then your party can come in and focus-fire on the Master Brain.
You'd think the brain would order everything else to stop what they were doing and defend it, but noooo... Some brain.

The brain probably has a good INT score but a lousy WIS score.

What I think is ridiculous is that the Kao-Toa have permanent True Sight that not even the Cloak of ND can protect you from--if you're there, they can see you--for no good reason at all. Yet the Illithids, who are supposed to be incredibly psionic and can read minds from half a mile away, can be Backstabbed, even though the D&D manuals clearly state that it's impossible to sneak up on them, or even near them.

For the original poster i want you to know i encountered a minor bug in the illithid lair, the brain golems were completely immune to any weapons. I tried later that day after restarting and they finally took damage from blunt weapons.
