defeating liches

Where do I find the quest to defeat Liches in the city?
What are recommendations to help defeat them?
I defeated the one in "city gates" but kinda cheated. I led it outside and then when the cowled wizards appeared my party ducked back inside the inn. I let them battle it out for a while. As a wizard was about to die I would finish it off to get the XP. Did the same to the lich at the last.
I dont think this will work for the other two liches in the city so any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot! I love this site.

Well, fortunately for you the spoils of your fight included Daystar, your new best friend. Equip it on one of your tanks and use it to cast Sunray, a powerful spell... even more powerful against undead. Since I don't know who's in your party all I can do is give you anti-lich tips in general.. Have your clerics cast Holy Smite, and have Warding Whip and True Sight memorized to take down defenses. Since most places where you fight liches in Athkatla are quite cramped, you probably will only be able to have two people step up to engage them in melee. Have tanks do it, making sure one is equipped with Daystar. Have everyone else pummel the lich with ranged weapons.. When he starts to cast a spell, have someone cast Magic Missile on him to disrupt his concentration. Keep on beating at him and casting spells, and eventually you'll prevail. As for the lich quests...

There's a building in the Docks district with a trapped door. It's right next to Mae'Var's guildhall, to the west.
For tips on the final lich battle, track down Dundee's sig.

Pretty much the same as Illumina Drathiran'ar but aswell as using daystars sunray get your cleric to cast it at the same time and the lich just dies. No point gettin your tanks messed around with and possible killed.

No. IMO she should, it being a sun spell and she being a druid.. I mean, Viconia, cleric of Shar, goddess of DARKNESS, gets Sunray, but not druids.. Ah well.
