What is mutliplayer like...online...

Same thing as the regular game. Except you can play with all custom characters. Uhh. . . Umm. At least that's how I think it is. I've never actually taken part in a multi-player game.

gamespy usually has a few games(bout 50 people last i saw). I've never played online either so i don't know much about it.

There are certain "communities" on the web where many people gather and you can choose to multiplay ex. BG2 with them. I think there is one community at Gamespy.
You can also multi with a friend, if you have the right IP-address.
