i would try gamespy first www.gamespy.com they have a icewind dale comunity. U can find friends to play and have them set up a server with a ip address or play a land game in your own home with others or at a place of convinece etc. or start ur own server and advertize it someplace like a forum perhaps

The only problem is IWD Multiplayer community is rather small
 . If you're insterested in doing mutliplayer games with IWD style get BG2 and play at GameSpy. We have 70+ people in the lobby every night [img]smile.gif[/img] .
