Inspired by this post:

A Viconia Poem

Anyway, here's the rules:

1. Write a poem about your favorite character/characters
2. Or write a poem about the characters in general

Almost any type of poem is allowed, as long as it doesn't go against the forum rules. Haikus, rythyms, whatever you can dish out.

I hate poetry and i have never made a poem that took more than 2 min. to think up but here goes...
"Sarevok"
O poor, poor Sarevok he lost his love,
killed in the Iron Throne, up up above,
So the anger built up inside him,
to kill the Grand Dukes was his whim,

but along came that warrior who had killed his love,
high in that tower, up up above,
And because of that warrior just and true,
Sarevoks dreams lost their shape and away they flew

ummmmm....

More of a song, this, but I'll be damned if I can tell you the melody, or the song that actually inspired it.

A squire in arms, a militiaman
Of the noble Radiant Heart
I fought the Ogrish War of Sythsilli
Last survivor of the host,
scared and on the run
I could hear the Orcish hosts were hunting me
Just then I heard a twig snap
And I grabbed my broken sword
I made my peace and made to meet my fate
And then a warrior born, a hero
With a pair of burning eyes
Appeared there before me and yelled 'WAIT!'
When he came close, he told me,
'Fear not squire - I am here,
If the Orcs want to hunt us down, they'll have two to kill!'
I thanked my newfound sire,
I told him my name and asked him his;
He said they always called him 'Child of Bhaal'!

We fought all night, and side by side
We carved our own path home;
And I feared the Orcs would cut us both down dead -
And they seemed to strike him, strike him true
But he never showed no pain
And at dawn's first light we took our chance and fled
It was near a river bank when
The ambush came on top of us
I thought this would then be our final stand
An arrow came forth for me, aiming for my heart so true
But that warrior,he just swatted it - with his hand!
Just like it was a fly...

Chas always followed in his wake
His heart and faith proved Evil's great mistake!

And I knew there was something strange about him
Because when I turned around he was pulling an oak tree
Right up out of the ground and smashing these Orcs down with it
From here to who knows what hell...

Well, he led me to Athkatla and I turned and waved goodbye
He just winked at me from the forest and then was gone!
When I got back to the Order, I told them about my flight
And the battle I fought with a warrior named the Child of Bhaal.
When I said his name, the knights all baulked,
And the Prelate took my arm
And led me to the Sacred Order's hearth
He said 'Yes, Squire, I believe you,
But Bhaal is an evil god
And his children are sworn to aid his dark rebirth!'

But before he went he said 'If this is true,
It brings me naught but hope
If the spawn of darkness can truly fight that fall;
I hereby dub thee Paladin, for thy deeds were indeed mighty!'
And we both said a prayer for that warrior,
The Child of Bhaal.

Chaos always follows in is wake;
He fights his own dark soul for goodness' sake.

Hmmmm... been some time since I tried poetry on a serious note. Pardon me if it seems a little jerky.

ToB spoilers below,

An Angel's Journey:
--------

Decades ago I swooped down from the sky,
to save an innocent human child.
Alas, lack of combat experience,
led to my capture by men most foul.

They chained and trapped me in a cage,
made me a freakshow for all to see.
Then my wings withered from lack of use,
so they hacked them off poor screaming me.

I thought life finally turned for the better,
when Quayle the gnome took me away.
How pitifully naive I was to think as such,
as some misguided gnome spoiled my day.

It was then at this very moment,
that you came into my wretched life.
When I saw how much trust you had in me,
I fell in love and wanted to be your wife.

I had hoped for a peaceful life now,
but you had troubles of your own.
You were one of the dreaded Bhaalspawn,
destined to fight for Bhaal's throne.

Others shunned you because of what you are,
but I will always stay with you no matter what.
Because you once held me by your side,
and said I was beautiful even with my wings cut.

You gave me confidence when I had none,
strength in ways I never thought of before.
You patiently listened to my whinings,
never once finding them a chore.

Through thick and thin we fought for a better life,
battling various daily insanities.
You saved me from a dire fate of vampirism,
while I helped you preserve your humanity.

Now that you have chosen mortality to stay with me,
I have some news that you should hear.
Remember those nights we spent away from the others?
Well... I am pregnant now my dear.
