I don't know whats happening to my computer, but when I tried to open the device manager for either the keyboard, the mouse or the SCSI and RAID controllers, a message came out like one of these:
"Windows could not load the installer for Keyboard. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance." or "Windows could not load the installer for Mouse. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance." or "Windows could not load the installer for SCSIAdapter. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance." And also when I tried to update my Windows XP through microsoft's website, similar messages appeared again. And it failed to install one update which is for the Silicon Image Storage Software. Other updates succeeded. Damn! Anyone? Please help? Thank you... |

It could be that the mouse and keyboard are not xp compatible. Unfortunately, that is about as much help as i can provide.

Hmmm... has this ever worked? OR has it suddenly stopped working? And if it suddenly stopped, did anything else happen around then which might be a cause for problems? New software or hardware, lightning strike, static electricity shock, etc...

The keyboard and the mouse are working fine. I am using it right now. And I think Im pretty sure I didn't cause any static shock when I was building up this comp. cause I used an anti static wrist wrap. Anyway, the keyboard and the mouse that I bought was from microsoft and both of them are OEM. No lightning strike. Oh, and how about the SCSI thing?

Make sure the SCSI chain is terminated properly... but I can't see that affecting the mouse or keyboard, try as I might. Guess I need some stronger medication
You might consider a Windows reinstall. It just looks flaky to me...

Im not too sure what your problem is.. Have you tried un-installing the drivers, reseting, and then re-installing them? Of course, you'll want to do them seperately (keyboard - use your mouse to navigate and vice versa)
I know my computer runs Win XP PRo and we get a error at startup every now and again saying "PS2 keyboard connected incorrectly, restart puter.." or something. but my all time FAVOURITE ERROR!!! "Cannot detect keyboard, press F1 for help, or F2 to Resume" or something like that.. ...quite amusing... Take care All Marikai

You have adware or spyware on your computer and anti-viros programs don't detect them.
Try these sites for some utilities to clean the junk out of your computer so you will stop getting thes stupid messages and it will speed up your computer. http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/freeware.html go to the security-privacy section then click on the anti-spy tools or try any of more than 100 different help type files at this site.
