I was in Trademeet and bought in one of the shops a very, very expensive robe for my mage. Finally, I thought, the poor one has something to cover her skin with. I read resitance against magic and so on and so on, and I thought she would gain some of those resistance stuff. But there is nothing at all...
 I can't remember the name of the robe, oh yes, it could only be used by good mages.

You have bought the Robe of Good Magi. The robe is not a bad bargain. Only one better robe exists in SoA (Robe of Vecna): it is even more expensive and it is available only if you have bonus merchants installed.
The robe should give your mage AC 5, saving throws +1 and resistance to magic +5%.

Are you sure Robe of the Good Magi gives a saving throw bonus? I remember reloading after I first bought that robe because I wasn't impressed with it. I ended up putting a Bracer of Defense AC 3 on her and just going on my way. Its some good when you can get a single class mage's armor class down to -1 permanently and as low as -9 against certain weapons thanks to other trinkets. If it gives a saving throws bonus then it probably is worth it. I don't know how I missed that... |

The Robes of Vecna are the best robes in the game. Get them ASAP.
