..for 10 bucks, so I bought it. There are 3 patches out for it, patch1(8megs), patch2(5megs), and patch3(5megs). Patch2 says it has everything that's also in patch1, however it is 3 megs smaller. How is this possible?
Also, I understand that patch1 is pretty critical, but what about the rest?

well i hope you enjoy it I didnt really.
I liked the interface but the game had no real content worth playing and its so short like 15 hours i mean im going to paraphrase the game ok.. you go to a few locations like a monastary and kill some people. there is a good town and an evil town and the evil town is bugged and has nothing important as far as information. then there is 4 levels of the temple.... you kill the fungus and thats the end. there are about 12 different monsters. There are " many" different endings and begginings but all that is is that you see a short opening cartoon based on your alignment and a short ending cartoon based on your alignment. If you are evil, some of the monsters will give you evil quests which are to kill some other monster. if you are good you are mostly just supposed to kill them all.... many npcs which say nothing relevant to the game at all. The game may be short, but I liked it a lot. I thought the combat system was very cool. I really liked the idea that you could use your characters strategically in a turn based environment by moving them around, which you simply can't do with games like Wizardry 8 (and I don't mean moving positions in a formation, but actually flanking opponents). Like Stamar said, not a like of depth to it, but a great buy (IMO) for $10.
When I played I just used the first patch - not too sure what the others do for you. |

if you have already installed patch 3 than I'd suggest that you completely re-install the game.
after re-installing the game, only install the first two patches than install two other fan-created patches which fix and enhance the game. take a look at the page at this link for these patches/fixes. http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1372 anyway, i partially agree with 'the mighty stamar' but the game still has some value. the town quests are lame, but going through the temple is fun. all in all, it's a short dungeoun-hack with a weak plot. $10 for it is a nice deal.
