The manual says that for each kill the experience is distributed evenly, but im sure its not correct or is it ?? I think that the one who strikes the killing blow gets bonus experience about 6% of the kill value. So am i right or just hallucinating ? By the way is a socerror a good class to choose while soloing, if then which class should i choose while soloing ?

To answer the questions in reverse, Sorcerors are one of the best classes to use for soloing. Go hunt down Dundee Slayterms sig for some useful links on this subject.
On the XP question, i made some detailed observations on this point, admittedly in IWD rather than BG but its the same engine. Points are allocated evenly, but any odd points are given to the earlier character. So if you have four characters and earn 100 XP, everyone gets 25. If you earnt 99 XP, character 1 2 and 3 would earn 25 and 4 would earn 24. This difference is never greater than 1, but over time it can add up to a couple of hundred. IN any case its totaly negligible since the XP cost of levels goes up far faster than the error in XP.

hmmn i beg to differ i have found that the more action a party member is in /(kills i mean) seems to make them level up faster (gain more exp.)
for example my three tanks are levelling up fastest while my mages and druid go up slowly as they only aid the conflict...at first it isnt easily recognizable until u get higher up (my tanks whizz thru levels while others dont) Felix |

Mages level up very slowly even with equal XP rewards, because it takes more and more XP to get them up. With the original SoA cap, a mage can't make it past level 17, while a Fighter can make it up to level 19 and a thief or bard to level 23.
I think Paladins and rangers, though, can only make it up to level 16. I may be wrong, though. I know the break between Level 11 and Level 12 mage is huge (300,000 to 750,000 XP) and then another huge leap (up to 1125000) for level 13. But if you check their total XP points, they should be gaining at about the same rate. It's the leveling requirements, not the amount of XP, that's holding them back. -Sazerac

hey saz,
i think rangers/paladins level at 18 becuz my ranger/paladin in my party are both 16 and going up so i guess they go upto 18 (becuz i know its an even number at least). hmmn does anybody know why druids level at fourteen?and when u reach ur max level in multiclass with one kit does the other stop going up or can that max out as well? The tables at the back of the SoA manual will tell you what the max level is, provided you know the the cap is 2.95 million XP.

Somewhere in the manual, pg 81, it tells you the max levels for every character in SOA.

Takes long time before they even approach to be a good character, plus that you cant get the Druid-stronghold unless you're level 14. Very frustrating. |

Let's see, here. Follow the link in my sig and then....
For Druid questions: Go to Chapter 4, scroll down to the Priest section. For more detailed info on Druids, take the Druid link. For EXP questions: Go to Appendix 1, and click the link to the full EXP table through ToB. There is no "maximum level of a Multiclass." Your character's levels are what they are when you hit the EXP cap. You can't exceed a character's "Level Cap" because you can't exceed that character's EXP cap.
