I recently heard some more of those stupid invention jokes such as the peddle powered wheelchair, fire-proof matches and so on, And was wandering how many there are out there. so if you have any good ones please do tell.

you mean like the alarm clock which automatically shuts itself off as soon as the alarm goes, so that you don't have to bother with getting up and hitting the snooze button, which you would do anyway...

How about the Battery Powered Ni-Cad recharger, when you're out camping and don't have house current?

(OMNI magazine had: Word processor consumes no electricity, w/ built-in delete, capable of doing graphics as well, etc... Answer: pencil)

The thing is, There are Helicopters with ejecting seats.
their just not widley used.
The rotors have explosives in them and when they detonate the rotors fly away and the pilot and co-pilot eject.
