you mean like the alarm clock which automatically shuts itself off as soon as the alarm goes, so that you don't have to bother with getting up and hitting the snooze button, which you would do anyway... :D

The thing is, There are Helicopters with ejecting seats.
their just not widley used.
The rotors have explosives in them and when they detonate the rotors fly away and the pilot and co-pilot eject.
