no cd required patch

hello again! I was recently looking for a new patch for soa and while i was searching the web i found a site claiming to have a patch on it which made it so the game no longer needed a cd to run! unfortunitly it was all in french so i am not sure if it would work on my version of the game. dooes any body know if an english version of this patch exists? if so where can i get it from?

I'm really thinking of trying it out but I imagine it would result in a performance/speed hit or sommat, no? Basically whats the downside? (plz say nothing..plz say nothing..)

Dont get into the habit of double-posting, it isnt polite.

Yes, the patch is good - install all your expansions and updates first, then the patch last. Then your 3rd party stuff. Make sure you get the right patch though. And dont try it for a Mac, I havent seen one for a Mac.

I use this patch myself, you dont need any CDs to run the game, although you do have to have a full install or it wont work. Aside from that, there is no downside - the game runs at the same speed as before, and loads up faster since it dosent look for a CD anymore.
