Heard on the radio this morning that the Kurds have reopened an airport in Northern Iraq and the Pentagon confirmed that an 'insignificant' number of US troops are already on the ground there.

www.debka.com has been reporting this for months! While this site is slanted toward the Israeli viewpoint, it is a very good site for news in the Middleast. They've reported things that were true, far in advance of the so called major news agencies! This is a case in point. Debka has been reporting US special forces in Iraq since last spring. Currently they are saying that the US is expanding a former Iraqi air base for operations there. They have even gone so far as to name a unit that is doing the construction.

Very interesting. So, all of those comericals that have been airing, about freedom, and soldiers on the move. Do you think it's a coincedence that those soldiers are in a desert environment, sending messages home to family. Do you really think that is a mock up event. Those guys from that Division have been on the ground for 6 months. And it ain't in there backyard sand box.

There are some other links, that help with the who's who, and where in the military. Hell CNN can tell you where most of our carrier fleet is.

The BLUF (bottom line up front). Put yourself somewhere, no TV, Cable, Internet, and only snail mail to communicate with. No daily shower, buddy system at all times. Then do it for 6 months. I will wager you will feel like those of us who have. Only self induced stress will keep you from choking the living crap out of someone who does not want you there, and does not want you to do your job. Once the edge of the blade is beyond razor sharp, then it must penetrate deep into the enemy. If not, then you must de-stress a unit that has only one thing on it's mind. KILL! It's not the build up of forces, it's the mental change, and attitude that must be re-instilled into the force on the ground. It can take a few days, but trust me, once it is in place, it don't go away overnight either. Especially if it has not been used!

To shoot a wood panel at gunnery is training. To fire a DU round at another tank is war. To kill is our job. But gosh dammit, if your going to send me, then you had better expect me to perform.

Here are two things I charge you to look at. These are real. There are no actors. These take a bit to load if you don't have fast connection.
