US forces missed him by a few hours because they weren't sure if he was there or some reason like that I believe.

It's a way to establish how sophisticatedly evil Saddam is. In movies and books the villains also are not captured right away but evade police several times. Or maybe they want him to be back for a sequel

You didn't think anyone would ever actually catch Saddam? [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img] Maybe someone will someday find some evidence of his remains, but for at least the next 10 years he will be nothing but an elusive shadow. He'll kill himself before he allows himself to be captured and brought before some tribunal.
