That is amazing. This type of thing certainly doesn't help the fight against the DMCA.

Im still stuck with trying to figure out "Why would anyone want to bootleg Eminem?" And, even worse, "Why would anyone want to buy it?"

It *might* be something to do with the fact not everyone has the same likes and dislikes that you do.

But surely that coulden't happen...right?

Simple, both dr. Dre and Eminem are 100% against music piracy, it's just the irony of the entire situation that probably made it sweeter to play that album.

What concerns me more is the fact Gracenote are able to find out what cds people are listening to. Surely this is an invasion of privacy, or is it another term hidden a the bottom of the EUA? Anyone know which programs Gracenote is associated with?

Winamp.
But don't worry, Gracenote works in a way that it can easily look up all the song titles of a certain CD you're playing in Winamp, so you won't have to enter them manually. And of course, there's always the option to disable that function completely in your Winamp... Just indicate in the preferences that you don't have an Internet connection available, that way Winamp won't try to connect to the Gracenote database to look up the song titles.

I think that all music, when it's made, should be given readily to the public for acess...
