Voted for by the British public. There are some strange inclusions (My Beautiful Launderette)and some omissions (Fish Called Wanda). It's a particularly 'British' list. I wonder how many non-brits have seen the likes of 'Kes', 'Get Carter' or 'The Italian Job' & how does 'Fitzcarraldo' get in so high?

I have seen about 10% of the movies on this list. I recognise most other titles but there are also a good number I never heard of before.

I do not agree with the list. Some of the better movies are ranked lower, and some that should not even have been considered are high ranks!
It is amazing to see what other cultures and places view as good entertainment. Did you know that Hollywood is the U.S.'s largest export? We make more money off of our movies and glamor than anything else we export, all around the world.

LOL I've only seen 13 of those films and heard of about 60 of them.
WTF is Star Wars doing at no.1? I'd rate loads of films above that, but I guess loads of people don't agree...
